Canon bietet mit der neuen Outdoorkamera ein preiswertes Modell an, das neben einer soliden aber nicht optimalen Bildqualität auch eine einfache Bedienung sowie kompakte Maße besitzt. Für Urlaubsbilder ist sie allemal geeignet, wobei sie im hohen ISO Bereich stark rauscht.
Für Unterwasseraufnahmen eignet sich die kompakte und griffige Kamera allemal, da sie sehr robust und einfach zu bedienen ist und dabei erstaunlich gute Aufnahmen erzeugt. Die Full HD Videos können per Mini HDMI Port auch problemlos auf andere Geräte übertragen werden.
Insgesamt stellt der Nachfolger der D10 eine Verbesserung dar, da der Hersteller sowohl an der Technik als auch an dem besseren Handling herumgedoktort hat. Die Bildqualität ist solide und auch die Ausstattung ist ordentlich, wobei ein Kritikpunkt der schlecht zu bedienende Auslöser bleibt.
