…Der Autofokus arbeitet zügig und präzise. Die Auslöseverzögerung liegt bei nur 0,35 Sekunden im Weitwinkelbereich und 0,47 Sekunden im Telebereich. Ein vollgeladener Akku reicht für 130 bis 460 Bilder.

…Lobenswert zu erwähnen ist das Rauschverhalten: Bis zu einer ISO-Einstellung von 1.600 sind die Fotos noch angenehm rauscharm…Das LC-Display der Ixus hat eine passable Auflösung von 460.00 Bildpunkten, ist aber leider nicht berührungsempfindlich.
Canon bietet mit der Ixus 230 HS eine elegante und schicke Kompaktkamera an, die nicht nur äußerlich was her macht, sondern dem Nutzer auch eine gute Bildqualität, eine unkomplizierte Bedienung sowie vernünftige Komponenten bietet...
Die Canon Ixus 230 HS ist eine durchschnittliche Kamera mit Schwächen in der Bildqualität. So waren die gemessene Auflösung und die Ausgangsdynamik etwas zu niedrig, das Bildrauschen dagegen erwies sich als zu stark. Punke gab's dafür für die Full-HD-Videofunktion sowie die vielen Filter und Motivprogramme.
