Canon EOS M50 Mark II

The EOS M50 system camera is comparatively inexpensive, but still impresses with its high speed, great image quality and good features. For example, it shoots nine frames per second in continuous shooting. The viewfinder is - as usual in this price range - a little small. The autofocus works really fast and accurately with the dual-pixel technology.

If you are on a tight budget, you have to choose: get every motif with the Sony Cybershot HX350 (300 euros) or take really good photos with the Nikon D3500 (340 euros). If you want to spend more but take less with you, go for the Sony Cybershot RX100 VI (1140 euros), a mini camera with maxi quality...

In the compact camera category, the Sony Cybershot RX100 VI wins the test - with top image quality and features in a miniature body, but also with a price tag of 1300 euros. The equally compact price-performance winner costs only 370 euros: the Panasonic Lumix TZ91 is the ideal travel camera with even more zoom, but its image quality is weaker when it gets darker...

You don't need a fat wallet to take good photos. The Panasonic Lumix TZ91 (370 euros) or the Nikon D3400 (450 euros) take great pictures. If you like to photograph lively subjects, the Nikon D7500 (from 1200 euros) is a top camera. System cameras are a compact alternative to SLRs - such as the still affordable, but already well-equipped Canon EOS M50 (690 euros) or the Panasonic Lumix GX9 (from 800 euros)...
