Die Canon EOS-1DS Mark III ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist dennoch eine hervorragende Profikamera fürs Studio. Die Bildqualität ist auf einem sehr hohen Niveau und auch die Ausstattung ist sehr umfassend, trotzdem ist der Preis hier nicht gerade ein Schnäppchen.
Eine erstklassige Studio-Kamera, die in anderen Bereichen nicht immer vollständig überzeugt. An der Bildqualität gibt es nur wenig auszusetzen.
Die Studio-Kamera 1Ds Mark III mit 21-Megapixel-Sensor im Format 24 x 36 mm ist das Flaggschiff des EOS-Systems. Diesem Modell mit Digic-3-Bildprozessor steht die Ablösung durch die nächste Generation bevor.

Mit ihrem 21-Megapixel-CMOS schafft die EOS 1Ds Mark III eine hohe Grenzauflösung von 1752/1641 LP/BH bei ISO 100/1600, nur durchschnittliche Werte dagegen beim Texturverlust.
Das sehr gute Signal/Rausch-Verhältnis der EOS 1Ds Mark III ordnet sich hinter Nikons D3X ein. Der Weißabgleich ist hervorragend.
