Canary is focused on your security, including your data security. The camera and microphone can therefore be turned off completely. All videos and data are encrypted with bank level data security standards. Regular checks by external security architects and penetration testers guarantee the suitability of the Canary system.
Quick and easy to set up
To use Canary, you don't have to be a network engineer: find the perfect place for your camera and plug it in. Then download the app that allows you to create an account and connect your device to the WLAN. And you can use the HD livestream from home anywhere with your smartphone.
Automatic mode change
The Canary system has four preset modes that it automatically switches between when you enter or leave your home. In On the Move mode, Canary watches and reports movement when no one is home. When members of your household are there, events can be recorded, notifications can be customized, or Canary can be made private. When the unit is in private mode, the camera and microphone are completely disabled. In addition, the camera has a night mode thanks to integrated infrared LEDs.
Always up to date
When motion is detected, Canary records it as HD video and sends it to your smartphone along with a notification. If you detect an emergency, activate the 90 decibel siren and contact your local police station directly via the Canary app. A timeline later gives you an overview of the recorded events, so you can decide which to save and which to keep.
Comprehensive functionality and compatibility
Canary monitors air quality, temperature and humidity, and sends messages when something is not as it should be. Set up devices in multiple rooms; the Canary app seamlessly integrates multiple cameras so you can easily move from room to room. Canary works with any smartphone that is compatible with iOS or Android, as well as with the Apple Watch.

Canary liefert mit der View eine passable Kamera für Innenräume. Ihre Full-HD-Aufnahmen haben sowohl am Tag als auch in der Nacht leichte Schwächen – für die Beweissicherung reicht es aber problemlos aus. Ohne Abo speichert sie Videos gerade mal für einen Tag in der Cloud, immerhin lassen sich die Aufnahmen auf dem Handy sichern. Ebenfalls negativ ist der hohe Stromverbrauch.
