Product details
The Studio Camera Pro is an advanced standalone studio camera designed for high performance SDI mixers. It offers professional 12G SDI and 10G Ethernet connections.
The video camera has the same features as large, existing studio cameras, miniaturized into a single compact and portable design. In addition, the cameras can handle extremely difficult lighting conditions with the dynamic range and color science of digital film cameras while producing film-quality images. The sensor has an ISO of up to 25,600, so you can create amazing images even in low-light locations. Even shooting the moon is possible. Advanced features include talkback, tally, camera control, built-in color correction, RAW recording to USB hard drives, and more. You can even add a lens, thanks to the MFT bayonet mount.
While the Blackmagic Studio Camera was designed for live production, it's not limited to use with a live mixer. That's because it records Blackmagic RAW to USB hard drives, so it can be used anywhere you want to use the camera. The large 7" display makes it perfect for work like chat shows, television production, news broadcasts, sports, education, conference presentations and even weddings. The large, bright display with side grips, touch screen, and physical controls makes it easy to track shots while being comfortable to use over a long period of time. Because it's so lightweight, it's perfect if you're constantly changing locations and doing different types of work.
Big broadcasters use expensive studio cameras that are extremely large and therefore not very portable . Blackmagic's distinctive Studio Camera offers all the benefits of a large studio camera, combining camera and display in one compact design. It features a lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate body with innovative technology in a compact design. The camera is designed for live productions, so you can easily track and frame shots with its large 7-inch display. The touchscreen has menus for camera settings and controls for brightness, contrast and focus peaking.
With modern cameras, ISO is a measure of the image sensor's sensitivity to light. This means that the higher the ISO, the more gain can be added, making it possible to shoot in natural light or even at night. The Blackmagic Studio Camera offers gain from -12 dB (100 ISO) up to +36 dB (25,600 ISO), optimized to reduce grain and noise while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. The primary native ISO is 400, which is ideal for use under studio lighting. Then the secondary high base ISO of 3200 is perfect for shooting in low-light environments. Gain can be adjusted on-camera or via a mixer using the SDI or Ethernet camera remote control.
The large, high-resolution 7-inch screen will completely change the way you work with the camera, as it's big enough to create shots much more easily. On-screen overlays show status and shooting parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame guides and more. You can even apply 3D LUTs to monitor shots with the color and look you want. The touchscreen also has useful menus where you can load and adjust various presets for different finishes.
