Product details

The MCE 72 is a compact stereo microphone designed for XY recordings with a wide linear frequency response. It ensures neutral recordings with high sound quality. The MCE 72 can be used for general stereo recordings in home recording, concert recordings, film and video sound, as well as interviews. For musicians, this microphone is excellent for self-monitoring during rehearsals and concerts. To create a good stereo atmosphere, the microphone can be directly connected to all common camcorders, as well as DAT and MD recorders.

The MCE 72 features two condenser capsules with a cardioid pattern, arranged at an offset angle of ±60° relative to the microphone axis. This design provides a wide pickup angle and good spatial representation of the sound source. The optional elastic suspension EA 19/25 effectively suppresses low-frequency footstep noise. The special elastic suspension EA 86 with a hot shoe mount allows for direct attachment of the MCE 72 to the hot shoe of a camcorder, preventing the transmission of head drum and drive vibrations.

The MCE 72 is available in three versions: The MCE 72 and MCE 72 CAM are powered by a standard 1.5 V battery (AA). An LED on the battery switch allows for battery status monitoring. The MCE 72 PV CAM requires phantom power between 11 and 52 volts. The detachable cable allows for quick adaptation to different connections.
