Reviews & Ratings
- Fast 5 gigahertz WLAN

- Simple integration into the mesh
- Low power consumption
- Weaknesses in the 2.4 GHz band
- No multi-user MIMO
When tested with a Fritzbox 6690 Cable as a Wi-Fi router and various end devices such as iPhone, iPad, Chromebook, Apple TV, Amazon Alexa, smart TVs and smart home equipment, the Fritz Repeater 3000 AX showed a consistently high speed in our wireless network over two floors with 5 gigahertz connections. Even in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the speed is high enough to stream HD films from a NAS to a smart TV.
Large households with a FritzBox make a safe choice with the FritzRepeater 6000. For most, however, the performance of the FritzRepeater 1200 AX should be sufficient. Speedport users are in the right place with Telekom's Speed Home WLAN. And if you have set up a Devolo network of Magic Powerline adapters, the Devolo WiFi 6 Repeater 5400 is the best choice.
A very easy-to-use and powerful WLAN repeater that can be placed almost anywhere due to its compact design.
For the green conscience, the 1200 AX is the Fritz repeater of choice. But its bigger siblings can be positioned much more easily with their remote plug-in power supply for optimal radio transmission. The 6000 has more MIMO streams than the 3000 AX, which is why it also achieved more data rate in our test situation...

... Those who don't have a multi-gigabit home network and don't use very many Wi-Fi 6 clients at the same time will notice little difference in practice - especially since all Wi-Fi 6 clients can still only transmit with 2x2 MIMO. Advantage for the 3000AX: According to AVM, it also supports 160MHz channel bandwidth and could thus double the above-mentioned throughput values based on 80MHz with suitable...
