Product details

Gigabit home network at every socket
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 Set turns any socket outlet into two fast and secure Gigabit network connections. With Gigabit Powerline of up to 1,200 Mbit/s and 2x2 MIMO
technology, significantly more robust connections, greater ranges and higher data throughputs are achieved. The device duo thus enables broadband applications with the highest demands, even in the last corner of the house and flat.

Powerline of the 1,200 class
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 Set connects network-compatible devices such as computers, televisions or games consoles reliably and quickly, even over long distances in the home network. Each adapter has 2 ultra-fast Gigabit LAN connections. Long distances and obstacles such as walls and ceilings are easily overcome with networking via the power line. Compared to Powerline adapters in the 500 and 200 Mbps class, FRITZ!Powerline 1220 enables significantly more transmission capacity and more robust connections - with high energy efficiency. Several demanding broadband applications can thus be used in parallel operation.

Powerful 2x2 MIMO technology
The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 set is ideal for broadband-intensive network applications, such as transmitting HD videos (also in 3D) as well as fast Internet access, online gaming, web TV, NAS connection and video on demand. Even long distances between the adapters do not affect the quality of the transmission. By using two wire pairs simultaneously, 2x2 MIMO technology enables up to 60% greater range in the power grid, with significantly more stable connections and gross transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps. If both wire pairs cannot be used at the same time, the automatic selection of the better transmitting wire pair (diversity) ensures robust powerline transmission.

Simple and secure ex works
One outstanding feature of AVM's FRITZ! powerline products is the individual pre-encryption ex works, which enables immediate, secure commissioning. As soon as the adapters are plugged into the respective sockets and connected to the FRITZ!Box and the devices to be networked via LAN cable, the Powerline network is established with customised AES 128-bit encryption (Plug & Play). The FRITZ!Powerline 1220 Set is compatible with current devices in the 1,200, 500 and 200 Mbps class. Updates are easily carried out via the FRITZ!Powerline programme or via the FRITZ!Box user interface.
