If the price was around 60.-, then a purchase would be justified.
I use this grater for several years. This aluminum model is the cheaply produced successor to the original stainless steel model. Many parts are now made of plastic. First the crank broke. It jammed because of friction (plastic on plastic). Got a new one. Now the ring in the front is pretty worn and already deformed. It's even rubbing plastic off the ring and ending up in the food. Metal on plastic is probably not a very good technical solution. That's why they have a new model where the drums have a plastic ring on them now too.
Honestly, the grater is not made to last forever. It used to be with the original model. Unfortunately, everything has to break eventually. And for this price! I would have expected better!Pro

Does not match the performance of its predecessor
I know the previous model, all made of stainless steel. Simply better quality. I don't know how well the aluminium will last. Unfortunately, short-lived products are being built more often than long-lived ones.

A great tool for people who want to avoid expensive appliances. Does its job very well and does not consume electricity.
Larger than I expected, but doesn't take over the countertop and looks relatively good. Easy to clean. So far I've used the mandolin to make potato gratins, the cheese grater and the vegetable grater (carrot, cucumber, courgette, etc.). Everything is done in the blink of an eye. Very stable thanks to the mechanical suction cup.
