Wow! It's incredible what the noise cancellation does here. You have to experience it to believe it. Meanwhile, I wear the part sometimes even without music, just to have peace.
So far, the Bose has performed very well in three environments: Commuting on public transport, Relaxed reading a book when the family is watching TV with surround system, construction noise in the office.
The earpieces are very comfortable to wear and sit well in the ear.
With battery power, the sound is very good for all kinds of music. Sure they do not come to an over-ear headphones of the same price category ran, but in the in-ears I have not heard anything so good. Without battery operation they sound but then really lousy (is still enough to make calls). Fortunately, the battery lasts a long time and you can listen to music while charging.

Best purchase ever. Once you've had these headphones, you'll never want anything else! Absolutely worth the price!

The headphones absolutely convinced me in (almost) every area - a short explanation:
I personally find the noise cancelling great - especially on the way to work in public transport.
I've always liked the sound from Bose and this time I'm also convinced - especially the bass.
What I also like about the headset, apart from the normal functions, is that you can deactivate the noise cancelling for a short time at the touch of a button.
The battery is good and lasts between 3 and 4 days, but I have to add that I use them for at least 5 hours a day and forget to switch them off in between.
The only small negative point is the sound without noise cancelling. It's good, but after two or three times without NC, you have to make sure you don't run out of battery ;)

I use the headphones almost every day on public transport and could hardly imagine going to work without them.

The essential for commuters.
I hesitated to buy it because of its price but after a test of a friend's, I was convinced!
Once the "Silence around me" mode is activated, it's a pleasure to read/work on the train.
Even better with a background of music thanks to the very good quality of the Bose sound.
Also, the battery is more than enough, as you can charge them with a USB port from your laptop.
And best of all, if the battery runs out, the headphones still work as standard headphones (just without noise cancellation).
I can only recommend this product! I couldn't live without it!
The only minus would be the small electronics block that is too close to the connector on the iPhone when listening to music and using the iPhone at the same time, but this is forgotten once you get used to it.

In use for a good three years now and still enthusiastic!
I should have bought them much sooner... in other words, they are not cheap but worth the price. It is really impressive what is achieved with active noise reduction.
They are also very versatile:
- Open-plan office: colleagues on the phone and talking become practically inaudible, especially when music is playing (not even loudly), I sometimes only see people moving their mouths, but I can't hear anything anymore. Even when skyping/telephoning via laptop with the appropriate jack, the person I'm talking to is much easier to understand than with normal headsets.
- Public transport commuting: In bus/tram/train: Engine noises are practically inaudible or at least significantly reduced. You no longer have to listen to the conversations of fellow passengers and you can listen to your own music or a podcast without being disturbed and without having to turn up the volume too high. Since then, my commute has been much more relaxed.
- Aeroplane: Engine noise is significantly reduced, sleep is less disturbed and films are still easily understandable at a volume that is easy on the ears. 1A! I am always amazed at how loud it is on the plane when I take them off again...
I can imagine that the on-ear QuietComfort filter out the noise even better. But I appreciate the compact size of the in-ear version much more, because I can take them everywhere so much easier.
The battery at the end of the cable, which somehow has to be held behind the smartphone, takes some getting used to. But with time you get used to it. The battery lasts long enough for my use. The headphones also work when the battery is empty (sound quality reduced in my opinion).
