Cyberpunk 2077 has received a major update, which unfortunately creates many new technical problems. Among other things, the open-world game is no longer playable on Playstation 4.

Actually, the launch of version 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 should have been a big step in the right direction for CD Projekt Red. Technical problems should be fixed, new abilities and buildings as well as graphical adjustments should be integrated into the game and the next generation of consoles should be "properly" served. However, piece by piece, it looks like this project is supposed to fail for the time being. We have already reported on numerous technical problems with version 1.5, but the latest news puts the crown of absurdity on these problems once again.
Cyberpunk 2077 can't be started on the PS4
After the patch, Cyberpunk 2077 is no longer playable on Playstation 4. Those who want to start the game are greeted with a friendly error message in many cases. The problem is said to occur mainly with the disc version of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red have officially confirmed the problem on their website and are currently working on a solution.
Surely, this message is the last thing CD Projekt Red needed. After all, Cyberpunk 2077 has already had a very turbulent history. From numerous postponements, to a technically unstable launch, to the removal of the game from the official Playstation store, Cyberpunk was not what the company had hoped for.
Despite this, they continue to try to make the best of the game and the current situation. However, it is problems like this that are unlikely to help the perception of the game and the company at all.
A past example
Incidentally, this is not the first time such a problem has occurred with a PS4 game and caused quite a bit of trouble. In early 2020, for example, when WWE 2K20 failed to launch on January 1, 2020. WWE 2K20 had been struggling with major technical problems since release and the turn of the year had technically given the game the rest, a truly unique bug. Malicious tongues would speak of a bad omen for the rest of 2020.
