The Clone Wars are over. But the war isn’t. «The Bad Batch» gives centre stage to the elite squad known from «The Clone Wars» and tells their story of civil wars, betrayal and free will.
Times change. Goals change. Hunter, leader of the genetically modified elite unit «The Bad Batch», learns this the hard way. While yesterday, he and his clone brothers were fighting side by side with the Jedi Knights against the evil Separatist Droid Army, today he is told to kill rebellious civilians who oppose the Republic. No, that was yesterday, it's rebellious civilians who oppose the new Galactic Empire.
Nothing about this is right.
The seventh season of «The Clone Wars» told and concluded the story mainly from the point of view of those who were betrayed, the Jedi, while the spin-off «The Bad Batch» shows us the clone trooper's perspective. Is it worth watching? Check out the video review above to get my opinion. Activate English subtitles by clicking on Settings>Subtitles>Auto-translate>English in the bottom right corner of the video.
The 13-episode series «The Bad Batch» launched on 4 May 2021 with a 72-minute pilot episode. After that, a new episode of about 30 minutes is released every Friday. Dave Filoni, creator of «The Clone Wars» and co-producer of «The Mandalorian», is returning as producer of «The Bad Batch».

Thanks for participating. And may the force be with you ... always!
I'm an outdoorsy guy and enjoy sports that push me to the limit – now that’s what I call comfort zone! But I'm also about curling up in an armchair with books about ugly intrigue and sinister kingkillers. Being an avid cinema-goer, I’ve been known to rave about film scores for hours on end. I’ve always wanted to say: «I am Groot.»
