Smartphone guide: Which one’s for you? Let’s find out.
Looking for a new phone but don’t want to spend hours doing research? Check out our recommendations. I’ve trawled through our huge range of smartphones to pick out my favourites.
What to look out for in a new smartphone? There are many features to look out for, but these are the main questions to ask yourself:
- Do you prefer an Apple device or Android as operating system?
- How much money are you willing to spend?
- Is it important to you to have a good camera (front/selfie cam and main camera)?
- Will you use your phone with one or two SIM cards?
- Does your smartphone have to be suitable for outdoor activity?
There are a large number of smartphone manufacturers on the market. A few selected brands have taken the lead by offering fantastic devices and good marketing. Today, Apple, Samsung and Huawei are the three major manufacturers. These three make up a large part of the market. Yet, this doesn't mean that other brands don't offer good products and reliable long-term service – au contraire. In addition to the three big brands, I also looked at the following important manufacturers: Sony | HTC | Nokia | Google | Xiaomi | Honor | OnePlus | LG | Google | OnePlus | LG

Research tip: You've decided on a manufacturer (e.g. Huawei) but want to understand where the price difference between models comes from (e.g. P20, P20Lite, P20Pro)? Add the models to our product comparison and you'll see an overview of all features that makes it easy to compare devices. This is what our product comparison looks like:
When I was but a young student, I'd sit in my friend's living room with all my classmates and play on his SuperNES. Since then I've had the opportunity to test out all the newest technology for you. I've done reviews at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, and have now arrived at Galaxus.de.
