«Rohformat» : a short documentary about Peter Lindbergh

«Rohformat» is German for raw format and the name of our new photography series. Watch filmmaker Armin Tobler and me dive into the world of legendary and quirky photographers. For this pilot project, I decided to take a closer look at a photographer who’s fascinated me for quite some time now: Peter Lindbergh. From 1 June 2021 in the digitec magazine.

As a photographer at digitec Galaxus, I’ve experienced a fair share of things during the last three years. However, I haven’t managed to develop a constant, recognisable style. This is something I’d like to change. In this series, I follow the footsteps of photographers with a unique style.

Peter Lindbergh was one of those photographers. His unmistakable shots are almost all in black and white and very powerful. He was a great photographer and is one of my big heroes. Join me on my search to unveil the secret of his style. During my quest, I talk to people who worked with him, experiment with the same equipment and create in-depth photo analyses. My aim is to recreate three photos by Peter Lindbergh.
