Playstation VR2: Release date and price fixed
Sony has announced the release date and price for the Playstation VR2 headset. The virtual reality glasses are coming earlier than expected and cost more than a Playstation 5 console.
In a blog post, Sony has let the cat out of the bag after countless teasers: The Playstation VR 2 will be released worldwide on February 22, 2023, and if you're interested in the VR goggles, you'll have to dig pretty deep into your pockets.
The basic set with the headset, a PS VR2 Sense controller and stereo headphones costs 600 euros. This makes the VR glasses more expensive than the Playstation 5.
For the launch, there is also a bundle with "Horizon: Call of the Mountain" for 650 euros. The "Horizon" VR spin-off looks very impressive graphically and offers fans of the series a new perspective on the post-apocalyptic dino-robot world. The game is not included as a disc, only as a download code in the bundle

Want to charge your Sense controllers without a tangle of cables? Then you'll have to spend an additional 50 euros on the Charging Station. The accessory should also be available at launch. Swiss prices are still missing, as are those for the Sense controllers.
The new hardware will be available for pre-order from 15 November. To convince potential customers of the VR headset's hefty price tag, Sony has also announced eleven games, all of which will be available at launch.
"The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR": on-rails shooter with scary guarantee
The horror game is a spiritual successor to Supermassive Games' VR shooter Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. You shoot your way through hordes of monsters and zombies on predefined paths. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.
"Crossfire: Sierra Squad": Arcade shooter with co-op mode
A military shooter that demands full physical commitment. With over 60 campaign missions and 39 weapon types, the game offers plenty of fodder for VR shooter fans. Optionally, you can also tackle the game in four-player co-op mode.
"The Light Brigade": fighting the dark
In this roguelike shooter there is not only shooting, but also a lot of puzzling. As a member of the Light Brigade you fight against the darkness and all kinds of monsters in a sunken world. I'm excited.
"Cities: VR - Enhanced Edition": building cities in VR
The game is a VR adaptation of the popular city-building game "Cities: Skylines", in which you can develop a city from scratch. Sounds very fun. If you want to build in VR right now, you can also play the game on other platforms.

You take on the role of an alien in a cosmic school. The game looks bright and colourful and already exudes an incredible amount of good humour in the trailer. It is already available for other VR platforms.
"Hello Neighbor VR: Search and Rescue": Hide from the neighbours in VR
The game is a VR adaptation of the popular "Hello Neighbour" game series. It is being developed by "Five Night at Freddy's" team Steelwood Studios. I could never get into the concept - maybe the puzzle-stealth gameplay in VR can convince me?
"Jurassic World Aftermath Collection": survival battle with comic book dinos
In this adventure game, you crash-land on the dino island of Isla Nublar and have to fight for survival. Because the game comes in a colourful comic look, even scaredy-cats like me should be able to play without panic attacks. The game is already available for other VR platforms.
"Pistol Whip": Shoot to the beat of the music
"Pistol Whip" is a mixture of rhythm game and first-person shooter. Graphically, it reminds me of the sensational shooter puzzle game "Super Hot". On other VR platforms you can already shoot your way through hordes of enemies to the beat of the music.
"Zenith: The Last City": A real MMO in virtual reality
With "Zenith: The Last City", Sony's VR glasses get a full-fledged MMO in a large open world. On other VR platforms, you can already raid, loot and join guilds

"After the Fall": co-op zombie shooter in snowy Los Angeles
In this post-apocalyptic zombie shooter, you go on a zombie hunt with up to 32 other players. The gameplay looks pretty over-the-top and bloody in the trailer. "After the Fall" is already available on other VR platforms and will also support cross-play at launch.
