Create your own video game from Lego

With the "Unity" game engine, you can now design your own game from Lego bricks. Free of charge and without any prior knowledge of programming.
Unity has made it its mission to make game development more accessible. For this reason, they have created their Microgame series. An interface where you can develop your first games with simple tools. Now they have entered into a partnership with Lego.
Just like in real life, you create virtual landscapes from Lego in the "Unity Editor". You have all kinds of bricks at your disposal. You can use them to build platforms, objects or obstacles. You configure your Lego minifigures as game characters, which you can later use to interactively explore your created landscapes.
Developer interface and tutorial
In order to create your own Lego game, you first need to download the "Unity Editor". Go to the Unity Lego Microgame page and follow the download instructions. A tutorial will teach you the basics of how to personalise your game. Create your own minifigure, build an enemy or create a place where you can store your collected loot.
Once you have understood the basics, you can build your own world from scratch. Or you can take a look at the prefabricated templates and incorporate them into your game. But things get really exciting thanks to the interface to BrickLink. From there, you can export all kinds of MOCs (My Own Creations) to the "Unity Editor", which you can use in your game. <p

Riding my motorbike makes me feel free, fishing brings out my inner hunter, using my camera gets me creative. I make my money messing around with toys all day.
