Arva's "Mini15+" is the first avalanche airbag that is also available for hire

With the "Mini15+", Arva presents the first avalanche airbag that has been developed both for hire and specifically for second-hand use. The airbag from the French company fits all body types and is also suitable for children.
An avalanche airbag that has been developed for long-term use in rental shops or on the second-hand market and impresses with its environmental friendliness and flexibility. Thanks to this combination, the "Mini15+" from the French brand Arva recently received the ISPO Award, one of the honours in the winter sports category at the international sports trade fair in Munich.

This airbag also fits children
The "Mini15+" has a refillable cartridge system and weighs just 2.1 kilos, making it easy for children to carry. It has two separate airbags that are shaped like a sphere to protect the head and maximise buoyancy in an avalanche. The release handle is ergonomically designed and positioned, and pulling the handle can be practised without a cartridge. This makes the system easier for hire companies to check and maintain, as it does not need to be charged. It is also a technically relatively simple system that can be quickly checked before each hire, as Arva describes it.

Baptiste Idaszewski, Product Manager at Arva comments: "We are proud to have developed the first avalanche airbag that children and pensioners can also use. Our main goal is to ensure that everyone stays safe in avalanche situations. No one is left behind, everyone can use it." And the ISPO expert jury praised: "This avalanche backpack is a real novelty. There is currently no other airbag backpack that is suitable for such a wide range of users and is also designed for durability and ease of use in hire."
The market launch of the "Mini15+" is planned for September 2024, when the avalanche airbag will retail for around 600 francs.
Our purchasing department will clarify whether Galaxus will have this product in its range.
