The Hoover brand, which belongs to the Candy-Hoover Group, was founded in the USA in 1908. In parts of the English-speaking world, "Hoover" is now a generalised brand name for vacuum cleaners. Nevertheless, Hoover's product range today includes not only vacuum cleaners but also kitchen and household appliances.
