The history of Atomic dates back to 1955, when Alois Rohrmoser and four employees manufactured the first Atomic skis. Atomic continued to expand its range, and in 1989, it became the first one-stop supplier for skis, bindings, boots and poles. Atomic has been part of the Amer Sports Group since 1994 and is now a technological pioneer in both environmentally friendly production and innovative products in the ski sport industry. Atomic is based in Altenmarkt in Salzburg's Pongau, in the heart of the Alps. The advantage: Each new development is tested on one of the demanding slopes and cross-country ski runs in the immediate surroundings of the factory. This is one of the reasons for the brand's great success in producing skis, ski poles, ski bindings, snowboards and snowboard boots.
